About Us

Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission is committed to safeguarding the public against any detrimental impact brought about by gambling. We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly. We work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.

We are responsible for regulating the National Lottery, and we have three overriding statutory duties which underpin the licence competition:

- To ensure the National Lottery, and every lottery that forms part of it is run and promoted with all due propriety
- To ensure the interests of every participant in a Lottery are protected
- Subject to the above two duties, to do our best in making sure that the net proceeds of the National Lottery are as great as possible

We are currently looking for a Project Management – Governance and Reporting Support, to work on our 4th National Lottery Competition Programme. This role is on a fixed-term basis until January 2024. The role will be operating on a hybrid basis with travel to Birmingham/London when required.

Your Role

As a Project Management - Governance & Reporting Support, you will be tasked with:

- Supporting the Project Management capability with the capture of key information, focusing on reporting assistance
- Escalating scheduling conflicts and documenting planning assumptions as required
- Circulating reports/papers/information as directed prior to key meetings
- Administration support across Governance where needed
- Managing administration of Core PMO activities
