We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Birmingham, where you will lead on the selection and implementation of our new corporate system, ensuring they meet the needs of the business, are delivered effectively, and bring the full benefits of digital transformation across the Commission.

Your Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide a high standard of project management service to the Corporate Services teams, particularly Finance and People Services, to ensure a successful implementation of replacement and upgraded systems.
You will lead on planning and co-ordinating the selection, procurement and implementation of the new systems and/or upgrades to existing systems, including migration from previous systems and the adoption of new processes and procedures, as required.
By taking ownership of the specification of requirements, you will liaise between the selected supplier and Corporate Service team leads, to ensure the delivered solution fully meets the business needs. You will also represent the client teams ensuring their requirements are fully understood by the suppliers and provide advice and guidance to the client teams on any decisions required.
About You
To be considered as a Senior Project Manager, you will need:
- Experience in building and maintaining trust with a variety of stakeholders.
- A successful track record of implementing new and upgraded corporate systems.
- An in-depth understanding of at least one of the following systems, and the associated business processes: finance, payroll, HR case management and CRM.
- To be solutions-oriented, proactively anticipating issues and able to work collaboratively with suppliers and clients to develop and implement resolutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of autonomy in decision-making and good judgement.
- A professional project management qualification or equivalent professional experience.
Experience of managing data transfer from legacy systems to new systems as well as experience of preparing and presenting business cases would be desirable.
