We are now looking for a Commercial Manager to join our 4th National Lottery Licence Competition (4NLC) team and support the delivery of the programme to appoint the next operator of the National Lottery.

The Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day commercial operations for the 4NLC.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will oversee the Competition Commercial Team, which comprises Gambling Commission staff, as well as financial advisors and professional service firms.
You will also take responsibility for commissioning and managing procurement requirements to support the 4NLC.
Some of your duties will involve:
- Overseeing and co-ordinating the evaluation process for potential new licensees
- Managing the commercial budget
- Overseeing the commercial aspects of third party providers
- Preparing reports and presentations
- Deputising for the Commercial Director at governance and management meetings
Once a new licensee has been appointed, you will take responsibility for the commercial contract management of the Enabling Agreement between the new licensee and the Gambling Commission.
About You
To join us as our Commercial Manager, you will need:
- Procurement experience, including experience of complex and/or high-value contract evaluations
- Experience of negotiating with suppliers
- Knowledge and experience of public sector procurement policy and regulations
- The ability to manage third party providers
You may have previously worked as a Commercial Contracts Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, Head of Procurement, Senior Procurement Manager, or Contracts Evaluation Manager.
